Favourite Games of all time?
I'll list two games from each console I've played.
snes- EVO and Seiken Densetsu 3. Metroid prime 3 and F-zero are close runner-ups.
N64- Ocarina of time goes without saying. But I liked Banjo-Kazooie and Battle Ogre; "Something about the princely something", particularly.
PS- Silent Hill and Chrono Cross, although Final Fantasy Nine is pretty high up there.
PS2- Katamari Damacy and Soul Calibur 3, because I can't choose between franchises and I'm a sucker for fighter games, old-world adventure and flashy graphics. Some of the characters got annoying, though. Silent Hill three was great, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather play the first game.
GCN- Pikmin, and.... hmm.... Metroid Prime. I liked Wind waker and Twilight princess and all, but I think the other games deserve it more.
I don't own any next-gen consoles, and I never played a game on a hand-held system that really stood out to me. And yes, I played Golden Sun.
I didn't like it.

Release Something! Day II: The Sequel [March 20th]
I only need to sprite two more characters to make the event necessary to upload a demo as I had planned. I hope that I can do so in time, but there's other things that consume my time at the moment.
However, there's standardized testing next week, which means less homework. So I'll probably have enough time.

Stupid game ideas
This seems fun, but is it in the right forum?
Oh well, I'll give it a try anyway.
The year is 2086. The world has advanced into a global cyber link, in which all people can walk about the real world and also access the highly advanced "internet" system that has spread to virtually all areas of the earth. (Think ghost in the shell.) But food shortages still remain in the off-world colonies. As a member of the EKA's esteemed military elite, (Earth Kingdoms Alliance) you are chosen to escort an emergency supply ship, (Filled with a special new-age food substance known as "Post-Revolutionary, Edible Terrazoid English Legumes", or pretzel for short.) These beans provide virtually all nutrition required for a healthy life, and are specialized to grow in the newly terraformed colonies. However, due to their versability, they are also the target of space pirates that stalk the regions between earth and the off-world colonies on mars and Venus. It's your job to get the rations safely distributed across the solar system, and out of the hands of the pirates! You'd be forced to use the advanced global network to quickly relay information regarding the pirates advancements back to home base. Or something.
Wow, that sounds like a horrible game. And I didn't even include the internet very well. Alas, I guess I was trying to be too serious.
Okay, I'll pick three words for the next person.

Of course I did. :3. I consider myself quite the artist.
This means I'll have to draw a map like this for every major area you explore in the game, and another for the world map... but it seems like the flexibility it gives me is well worth all the work.
As for WIP, I'm not sure what changed the icon. I'm guessing it was one of the many patches I downloaded... could have been one of many things.

You know, I had that very same thought about the sprite. I'll see what I can do.
And yes, you walk around the map to get to the various locations. You can't walk over ocean, mountains or forest, but you can get to all the places of importance.
Hopefully I'll have a demo in time for Release Something Day.

Well, there's the Barath map. I used a parallax background instead of the strenuous labor required to make a chipset. It functions perfectly, I've tested it out.
It doesn't turn out exactly as I had planned, but I fondly think of it as a method of original representation. ;P The text is horrible, but looks passable full-screen, so I think I'll just let it be for now.

I recognize the flowers and cliffs from Seiken Densetsu 3. Everything else might be original, for all I know.

I really like it. It's a very charming style, it all looks very clean and thought out.
As opposed to my maps, which are always great big clustered random messes no matter what I do. :P. I'd like to say there's a method to the madness, but I'd be lying.

Sprite Request with poses
If you can't make your own sprites, you should settle for what resources are available online. It's not our job to up and do your work for you on demand; we've got our own projects to worry about.
Another question!
This is a common problem. If you look closely, you'll see some perforated gray lines in the box where you type in your message. The trick is to hit 'return' to move the text into a new line before it reaches that first line. You may even need to give yourself some space away from this line, as with certain fonts it will cut off sooner/later than others.
